Life . . . and stuff

Please let this week be over. Please let this week be over. There aren't many occasions on which I find myself thinking "Gosh golly gee, how I wish I went to a Catholic school!", but the week before Easter is one of them. Oh well. Good Friday will have to be "good" enough for me.
At least I found the flashcards. I spent all day (approx. a minute and a half tops) looking for the Fairy God-Mary's old flashcards (shout out to the Fairy God-Mary), only to find them somewhere I could have sworn I looked four times. And I ate pizza w/ Emmy and Laurel, which always works for me. Otherwise, today was kind of lame, except for talking to Laura, which reminded me that I've got the Magic Stick, she IS the baddest chick, and life can be only so lame when this much is true.

I'm Gonna Fill In A Thingy (And You're Gonna Watch)

A - Accent: Haven't got one, as I managed to escape the wrath of the trashy Brooklyn accent (thank heavens for small favors).
B - Bra Color: Maroon
C - Chore you hate: Putting clothes away. I really fail to see the point.
D - Dad's name: Andre
E - Essential make-up item: Eyeliner, preferably with sparkles
F - Favorite perfume/cologne: Dior's Poison
G - Gold or silver: Silver
H - Hometown: B to the K to the L-Y-N
I - Insomnia: would make me feel like a fuzzy little bat
J - Job title: Useless
K - Kids: ask Laura. It's her call.
L - Living arrangements: With a house full of people who make me look normal and a big big big brown dog
M - Mum's birthplace: Manhattan
N - Number of apples you've eaten: Fewer than it would be if apples were fruit roll ups. I ate three fruit roll ups today!
O - Overnight hospital stays: Not too many, not too few
P - Phobia: Depends on the last horror flick I watched
R - Religious affiliation: nada
S - Siblings: A brother and a sister
T - Time you wake up: If left to my own devices? Between 12 and 2:30-ish.
U - Unnatural hair colors you've worn: Now that's just a silly question.
V - Vegetable you refuse to eat: Spinach
W - Worst habit: That gulpy thing I do with my throat
X-rays you've had: They obviously weren't too memorable.
Y - Your special dish: Easy Mac
Z - Zodiac Sign: Scorpio. Therefore I'm supposed to be secretive, highly venomous and do one hell of a bitchy face. I'd say it's quite accurate.

Not only blonde, but super blonde. Well I am super . . . ish. You give grad students way too much credit. Just because they are paying to learn to be super means nothing. Oh, like the people in charge of apartment buildings. We had one in Ansonia Court named Suki. Sort of. Yes, where Lilly lives, but our Suki was a small, unhappy, Armenian man. Oh yeah. Well impossible things are happening every day.

I Like It

What are things I like?

1. I like self-defense class because I get to beat up men in suits.

2. I like banana pancakes except when I get them all over Laura's stove.

3. I like the end of midterm week because I can breathe again.

3. Ooh, I also like being ridiculously blonde, although the rate at which my hair is falling out is slightly disconcerting.

Talking about things I like makes me think of things I hate. What are things I hate?

1. I hate velour suits with a burning passion.

2. I hate getting up and out of Queens. Getting there is okay, and staying there is okay, but getting out takes a whole lot of effort.

I'm getting bored, okay bye.

Hair dye and Life

It has recently occurred to me that I've hit a hair-dyers-block of some sort. Believe it or not, I'm running out of things to do and it is, as one might say, "mad depressing". Yesterday I bleached out the black only to realize that upon contact with peroxide, my hair turn about seven different colors, including brown, blonde, blonder, and green. So I stuck some lagoon blue in and now I'm a little bit turquoise. The only color I have yet to do is super platinum. Perhaps that is the only place to go. Sob. Sob. Maybe I should stop with the hair and focus on other aspects of life. Nahh . . .

See, I do update . . . every few months

I am updating. See? I do it sometimes. Anyway, I got plaid earmuffs for Christmas. And some cool jewelery. And umm . . .I forgot.
Hmm . . . since school let out what have I done? Ooh, I know! I went to Shoshie's house w/ Laura, Yanina, Tony, and Fariya where we ordered Thai food and watched Spice World. Then stupid Emily dyed her hair blue-black which made me want to dye my hair. Seeing as I've always got hair dye somewhere in my house I gave in to the passion and stuck some black in the roots. And put some streaks. And covered the whole thing. So now I'm back to black and mildly upset. God damn my lack of impulse control!

I'm 16 . . . and there's nothing you can do about it.

So here's how the birthday of Kyle usually goes:

Kyle: (Waking up) Yawn. Oh, dear. Here we go again.

World: Fwahhaha!

Kyle: I hate birthdays! Sob.

This year, it was a little bit different. I've gotta admit, coming to the end of my birthday weekend, I'm feeling borderline okay. The pie, the karaoke, the dancing, and the book was amazing. Thanks so much to everybody who made me feel special: Shoshie and Laura and Tim and Tony and Yanina and Damon and Emmy and Mickey and Laurel and I'm being terribly sentimental! Clearly this whole live journal thing is dangerous business. I should sign off before I hurt myself, or melt into a pile of sticky, sweet, sugary goodness.

Good evening. I'm on my procrastination break right now, which I think I deserve due to my diligence when it comes to learning the Chinese language.
It is almost friday! Hell yeah.
We had our soccer meeting. It was boring and stupid and I think the coach just made up the results. Now, is that really necessary?
In chemistry class, we had to name a piece of wood. I named mine pokey. Pokey was seven pokes long. Oh dear.
I never practice piano. Maybe I should.

I'm back. I'm miserable. Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration. I've been doing Ms. Goodman's AP Euro summer homework for as long as I can remember. I attended my first soccer practice with my new team, only to realize that not only is everyone in better shape then I am, which is to be expected, seeing as the most athletic thing I did all summer was play Dance Dance Revolution once, but everyone is just sort of better in general. If I knew how to use the little "current mood" icon faces, mine would be very frowny.

And so off to the land of the Wal-Mart she went . . . to search for happiness, and cheap souveniers

Just got back from a night with Shosh, Yanna and Laura. Yay for softer than soft core porn, drag queens, munchies, pretty cigarettes, and sexy juice. Now tell me, where is there room for sleep in a jam-packed evening like that? And besides, I often use Laura as a substitute for sleep. She works quite nicely.
Wait a minute . . . had to go put little Cornelius P. back in the cage for a bit. Typing while holding a mouse in one hand does grows tiresome.
Anyway, I'm off to New Hampshire for a week, and then Quebec for a week more. Don't worry, I'll be back eventually, chock full of illogical tales to tell. Who knows, maybe one day I'll have my own "bitten by a homeless man in Montreal" story, and with it, the power to kill any conversation in a most merciless manner.

THWAK!!!

Raising Small Children

Raising your kids is always a complicated matter. I personally feel that it is my responsibility to raise my sister to be the best dressed, most ridiculous kid in all of the 1st grade, with of course, the coolest hair a 5 year old could possibly manage w/o fainting from the sheer fabulousity of it all. I must be doing a decent job if she comes up with things like this while shopping for itty bity trinkets:

Shea: I want the golden box, but I wish for the red hair pin.
Kyle: What's the difference between "I wish" and "I want"?
Shea: Well, if I want something, that means I have to get it, and if I wish for something, that meansI have to get it later.

Bless her little Asian soul.
